Syllabus Information

1. General information

The subject has the following goals:

• Know the vocabulary, concepts and theories specific to educational technology.
• Know and critically evaluate the use of digital technology in Primary Education. 
• Develop didactic material that contemplates the integrated use of digital technology.
• Search and select didactic resources in a critical and contextualized manner on the Internet.
• Critically reflect on the relevance and implications of the incorporation of digital technologies in Primary Education.

The subject is in line with current social issues, and therefore with the 2030 Agenda proposed by the United Nations to promote more sustainable development by raising students' awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals SDG 1, SDG 2, SDG 3, SDG 4, SDG 5, SDG 6, SDG 7, SDG 8, SDG 9, SDG 10, SDG 11, SDG 12, SDG 13, SDG 14, SDG 15, SDG 16 and SDG 17. 

2. Learning results

The student, in order to pass this subject, must demonstrate the following results...

1. -Knows the vocabulary, theoretical concepts and their application.

2. -Carries out specific practical applications of technology in and out of the classroom and related to the school curriculum.

3. -Search for and find effective educational resources on the Internet and perform an analysis of various aspects of them.

4. -Develops digital learning materials (including interactive and online).

5. -Analyzes applications and experiences developed with ICT and CAT, from an educational or social perspective social.

3. Syllabus

• ICT in the knowledge society. Positions towards technology.
• Digital teaching competence. Solutions to combat the digital divide. Educational policies with ICT at the regional, national or globallevel.
• ICT training in the classroom and at home.
• Types of educational multimedia products for the classroom.
• Values and e-addictions in television, games, video game consoles and social networks.
• Device literacy for education. Wired and wireless networks. Software and essential parts of the computer.

4. Academic activities

• Theoretical and practical sessions, with research reading, critical reflections on the use of technology and practical exercises on theory.
• Practices for the application of digital technology to educational and teaching-learning processes.
• Practical work, with the possibility of doing it through Service-Learning
• Visits to educational centers
• Visits to public institutions in connection with the Information Society

5. Assessment system

Continuous Assessment

- Practice portfolio (includes practice with digital technology, reflections, research reading, etc.) 20-50 % of the total of the grade. Individually or in pairs.

- Resolution of one or more theoretical-practical tests to be determined at the beginning of the term. 20-50% % of the total grade.

Individual work.

- Carrying out a practical activity, preferably through the service-learning methodology, with an exhibition of the same (throughout the term). In group. 30-50% of the total grade. Group work

Global Assessment

The overall test will contain, on an individual basis, the same tests that are carried out in the continuous evaluation.  Fifth and Sixth Call

The students of the fifth and sixth call must be aware that their evaluation is made before a tribunal, not being able to waive this right. However, they may choose, upon request, to take the test together with the rest of the students in the group and subsequently place it in an envelope to be handed in to the examining board (art. 23 of the Agreement of 22 December 2010, of the Governing Council, which approves the Regulations on the Rules for the Assessment of Learning at the University of Zaragoza).

In either case, the same evaluation criteria and requirements specified for the continuous and global evaluation will be applied evaluation and the global evaluation of the subject.

Copying, fraud or plagiarism

The use of fraudulent procedures or plagiarism, total or partial, in any of the evaluation tests will result to the failure in the call with the lowest possible grade. Likewise, the corresponding report will be submitted and

the disciplinary sanctions adopted by the Guarantee Commission for these cases shall be applied. Likewise, students may be summoned to tutoring to defend all or part of any of the evaluation tests submitted in order to ensure authorship and participation in all of them.

Finally, it must be taken into account that the Regulations of the Norms of Coexistence of the University of Zaragoza will be applicable to irregularities committed in the evaluation tests by means of academic fraud, as well as the application of article 30 of the Regulations of the Norms of Evaluation of Learning in relation to irregular practices other than academic fraudfraud.
